Was very heavy. Smelt actually terrible. Seemed like good quality leather but the fit was way off. Didn’t use it to weld, but I feel it would have protected from burns and been functional if you could get it to fit and the smell to go away.

It’s heavy and it will absolutely block sparks and protect you. As other have mentioned, it had a strong smell from leather treatment, but it doesn’t its job and for the price, you won’t be disappointed.

It would have gotten 5 stars, but there’s no place to hang the jacket by, and on the inside of mine, it’s just too torn up and not cleaned properly enough for me to give it a full 5. Haven’t put it through the ringer, just basic paces

I used to use a leather apron when welding, but was constantly burning through workshirts at the wrist cuff and elbows. Transition to a jacket and obviously no longer have those problems. If I had a suggestion, I would add some pockets somewhere, to put pens as I’m constantly cutting marking and welding and I’m always looking for my sharpies, wax pencils because there are no pockets to keep them with me, but having said that very pleased, especially when you’re welding in a cold workshop

This is the perfect jacket for welding, plasma cutting, etc. It fits, is well constructed, offers great protection, and this is the best part for me – in addition to snaps on the front closure, it has has Velcro over the entire front placket – very handy for closing while wearing bulky welding gloves. I bought this because I had a lot of overhead welding to do and It couldn’t have worked any better, along with a pair of long welding gloves I didn’t get any splatter burns at all. It has closer along with the snaps to keep the sparks out.

I bought this for my partner who is a welder but upon opening it, it looks very low quality. All of the buttons are oxidized and look very rough. The leather does feel genuine and the buttons still snap but i expected the buttons to appear new. Theres a white substance on the front but it wipes off. I wouldn’t recommend it, get a higher quality jacket for the extra price.

This welding jacket arrived in a timely manner, fits as I hoped it would, construction seems to be good, weight for welding is good, not to heavy not to light, snaps are good, unlined as expected. Bottom line is it is a good welding jacket for the money. The problem with this jacket is that it has mildew on the backside of the folded sleeves, and the snaps have turned a greenish color, and it smells like mildew. I am going to just deal with this aggravation and not fuss with returning in that it is just a welding jacket. But,being new it shouldn’t have this problem!

The jacket is durable, comfortable, and in a good size (see measurements). I waxed the outer part and inner part, because I work in wet places and hot places (with short sleeves, the jacket is somewhat itchy).Generally- this was an excellent purchase and I’m very happy with it.
